Aaron Boumerhi kicked a 49-yard field goal with one-minute left to lift Temple to a 16-13 win over Villanova on Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field (read a full game story here). The Owls (1-1) host UMass on Friday night. While the Wildcats (1-1) look to bounce back in their home opener on Saturday night against Lafayette.

Delaware Valley University, who was ranked 12th by the D3football.com poll, dominated Lycoming 34-3. The Aggies (2-0) defense held the Warriors (0-2) to 82 total offense and three first downs. Quarterback Dashawn Darden threw for two touchdowns and ran for another while running back Devauntay Ellis had 172 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Next up for Del Val, is a trip to Wilkes-Barre on Friday night to take on Wilkes University (0-2).

Widener had no trouble with FDU-Florham scoring a 49-7 win. Pride defensive back Jordan Powell scored two touchdowns, one on a 100-yard interception return. The other came when he sacked the Devils (1-1, 1-1 MAC) quarterback and forced a fumble which he picked up and took 18 yards for the score. Widener (1-1, 1-1 MAC) hosts Misericordia (0-2, 0-1 MAC) on Saturday.

Rowan (2-0, 1-0 NJAC) beat Southern Virginia 28-19. Profs running back Anthony Diorio ran for 107 yards and three touchdowns. On Saturday afternoon, Rowan visits William Paterson University.

Ursinus (2-0) beat Gettysburg 35-28 on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Thomas Garlick to Jacob Clifford with 55 seconds left in the game. The Bears host Juniata on Saturday.

West Chester, who was ranked 24th in Division II, lost on the road to Slippery Rock 49-42. The Golden Rams (1-1) had 498 yards total offense, over 100 more than their defense allowed, but the committed 17 penalties and Slippery Rock had a pair of special teams touchdowns. Saturday, West Chester hosts Edinboro.

In other Philadelphia-area college games, Delaware lost at Virginia Tech 27-0, Hampton topped Delaware State 28-15, it was California(PA) over Cheyney 54-14, Frostburg State took down TCNJ 49-14, Lincoln(PA) was beaten by Lincoln(MO) 49-19. Wesley was idle.
