MIDDLETOWN IS IN LEAGUE OF ITS OWN AFTER FOUR WEEKS
Matt Santoleri
The hot starting Middletown Cavilers haven’t cooled off one bit. Led again by Junior RB Najair Smith and his three TD day against St. Georges, they continue to make their mark as the best football team in the diamond state. The road for the Cavilers isn’t getting any easier as the year goes on however.
A tough three game stretch against cross town rival Appoquinimink, Footballstories #2 ranked team, Salesianum, and a marquee matchup against the vaunted Florida powerhouse, IMG Academy, will truly put this team to the test. For a team with aspirations to not only get back to the State Championship, but win it this time around, these next couple of games could give what seems like a team of destiny, all the confidence it needs to do just that.
