St. Augustine Prep (1-0) moved into second place in the Wire Top 20 with the first major upset of the young season.

Senior quarterback Jose Tabora threw two touchdown passes as the Hermits won one of the biggest regular-season games in school history and ended St. Joe’s 21-game winning streak with a 33-14 victory.

A’Laam Horne led St. Joseph (0-1) with two touchdowns, the first on an 81-yard kickoff return plus 73-yard pass from his twin Salaam Horne. But that was it for the 2014 Footballstories Team of the year.
Tabora was 10 of 12 for 203 yards, the two touchdown passes. He also scored on a four-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Kyle Dobbins led the Hermits, rushing 13 time for 149 yards and a touchdown.

“They were better than we were,” St. Joe coach Paul Sacco said after the game. “They had a great game plan. We gave up big plays. We got beat on passes, and our best kids are back in the secondary. They got beat.”

Camden (1-0) has been a model of consistency during the regular season.

The last time Camden coach Dwayne Savage’s lost in the reason was 2012. The Panthers though, lost in the Group 2 playoffs the last two years before moving up to Group 3 this season, where Delsea, a team Camden beat 47-7 last season are the three-time defending Group 3 champions.

It will be interesting to see if the change in playoff scenery will affect a very talented Camden squad.
The Panthers crushed Highland Regional 42-0 in their opener.

Williamstown moved up to No. 4 after its 49-17 win over previously No. 4 Shawnee.

Defending Group 2 Champion Haddonfield also lost its opener to West Deptford 10-0.
