Bowman and Hali Selected to Pro Bowl; Nittany Lions in the NFL – Week 15
Bowman to make third Pro Bowl appearance, while Hali earns fifth consecutive berth
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 23, 2015 – NaVorro Bowman of the San Francisco 49ers and Tamba Hali of the Kansas City Chiefs were selected to the 2016 Pro Bowl Tuesday night. The appearance is the third of Bowman’s career (2013, 2014) and the fifth consecutive for Hali. Allen Robinson is the first alternate for the wide receivers. The Pro Bowl will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, on January 31, 2016.
Bowman came back strong after missing the entire 2014 season with a knee injury. He leads the team and is tied for first in the NFL with 136 tackles. He also has 2.0 sacks and two passes defended.
Bowman is in his sixth season with the 49ers after being drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
Hali has started all 14 games at linebacker for the Chiefs. He has 48 tackles, including 11 for loss, with 6.5 sacks, 18 quarterback pressures and two forced fumbles. He is in his 10th season with the Chiefs after being drafted in 2006.

Leading the way for the Nittany Lions in week 15 was Bowman, who recorded eight tackles against the Bengals. Gerald Hodges had a season-high 10 tackles, including nine solo against the Bengals. The Nittany Lions have three of the top seven tacklers in the NFL this season, led by Bowman with 136 tackles.
