The Philadelphia Eagles have promoted pro scout Louis Clark to senior director of pro personnel.
 
The 50-year-old Clark has served as a pro scout with the Eagles since 2013.
 
Prior to joining the Eagles, Clark spent 16 seasons in the Jacksonville Jaguars player personnel department. He joined the Jaguars in 1997 as a college scout and held that position until 2003, when he was promoted to assistant director of pro personnel. He was promoted to director of pro personnel in 2012.
 
Before beginning his scouting career, Clark served as the running backs and special teams coach of the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe in 1996. He also coached with the St. Louis Rams in 1996, assisting the wide receivers during training camp.
 
Clark attended Mississippi State, where he played wide receiver from 1983-86 before being selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the 10th round of the 1987 NFL Draft. He spent seven seasons in the NFL, including six with the Seahawks and one with the Green Bay Packers, before retiring after the 1993 season.
 
A native of Tupelo, MS, Clark graduated from MSU with a degree in educational psychology. He and his family reside in Philadelphia. Clark’s brother, Dave, played 13 seasons in Major League Baseball and is currently the third base coach of the Detroit Tigers.
