The Eagles had results during last week’s 31-3 win over the Chicago Bears that could be classified as both good bad.

Four fumbles, three lost, 11 penalties for 70 yards and some some missed opportunities on offense and defense.

While players ran some celebration skits after scores and big defensive plays, the players were very critical of themselves later and talked about a desire to get better.

They are aware that if they turn the ball over three times and commit 11 penalties against Seattle (7-4), they will likely lose.

Brandon Brooks said he was glad to hear hear his teammates taking stock in themselves and were not living in their press clippings.

“I think that’s the sign of a good team,” Brooks said. “We have guys, although we won the game there wasn’t the way we had wanted to deliver a dominating performance. We look at each other every week. I think that’s a really good sign that, even though we won the game, we know how hard to win games in the NFL. guys are still coming in thinking about they cold have done better.”

Brooks was asked about the amount of noise generated at CenturyLink Field, a place where Seahawks fans are simply referred to as “the 12’s.”

Brooks talked about how well quarterback Carson Wentz handles distractions on the road and how important that is to the Eagles chances for success.

“It’s definitely vital as far as the noise goes,” Brooks said at is locker this week. “But any stadium, even college, those stadiums are loud too. But really just him, almost being force fed through a water hose when it comes from seeing all these different looks and different teams have different personnel matchups, knowing each player’s speed and what each player can do…I think things like that help.”

Brooks said the Eagles know Seattle is a good team in the fourth quarter and has a history of playing well in December.

“We’re a resilient team,” Brooks said. “It doesn’t really doesn’t matter where we go, it doesn’t matter what opponent is out there, it doesn’t matter what their record is, we’re gonna go in there and fight and no matter what happens, we’re going to act like our backs are against the wall…10-1 is great but it’s (still) early in the season. It really doesn’t matter how good we’ve been thus far, we have to finish the race.”

Prediction: Eagles 31, Seattle 21.
