The FootballStories College Football Player of the Week is Ventell Bryant from Temple University. The senior wide receiver from Tampa, FL had eight catches for 147 in the Owls 24-17 comeback win over Navy. Bryant had a 62-yard catch for s score that put Temple ahead to stay and he also had a 40-yard reception that set up a touchdown. Saturday, the Owls (4-3, 3-0 AAC) host Cincinnati (6-0, 2-0 AAC) on Home Coming at Lincoln Financial Field.

Also, under consideration for Player of the Week were Delaware running back Kani Kane and linebacker Troy Reeder, Penn linebacker Nick Miller. Also, Lincoln University defensive back Kendall Brooks and defensive linemen D’rico Cook, Vincent Woodard, and Solomon Bassett. Wesley running back E.J. Lee, Rowan defensive back Travelle Curry, Delaware Valley quarterback Dashawn Darden and Princeton quarterback Kevin Davidson.

Kane ran for 124 yards and a touchdown in the Blue Hens upset 28-16 of No. 5 Elon; Reeder had 15 tackles including 4.5 for loss and a sack. Saturday, Delaware (4-2, 2-1 CAA) is at New Hampshire (1-5, 0-3 CAA).

Miller had seven tackles including 1.5 for loss and a half of a sack. He added three quarterback hurries as the Quakers (4-1, 1-1 Ivy) edged Columbia 13-10. Friday night, Yale (3-2, 1-1 Ivy) visits historic Franklin Field.

Brooks returned a blocked field goal 84 yards for a touchdown as the Lions broke their 24-game losing streak with a 21-20 win over Elizabeth City State. Cook, Woodard and Solomon each had two sacks while Cook also forced a fumble and had a sack late in the game that forced ECSU to punt while trailing by a point; the Lions then ran out the clock. This Saturday, Lincoln (1-6, 1-3 CIAA) is at Virginia State (3-3, 3-1 CIAA).

Lee had three touchdowns in a 54-6 rout of Kean. He scored two on the ground while compiling 117 yards and caught a 40-yard score. The Wolverines (5-1, 4-1 NJAC) are at Rowan (4-2,3-2 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.

Curry returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown as the Profs beat TCNJ 17-14. Saturday, Rowan hosts Wesley; while TCNJ (0-6, 0-5 NJAC) is at Kean (1-5, 1-4 NJAC).

Darden passed for 181 yards and two scores while also running for 104 yards as the Aggies rallied with two fourth quarter touchdowns to beat Lycoming 23-16. DelVal (5-1, 4-0 Middle Atlantic) visits Lebanon Valley (0-6, 0-4 Middle Atlantic).

Davidson, playing for the injured John Lovett, was 26 of 39 for 304 yards and four touchdowns as the Tigers beat Brown 48-10. This Saturday, Princeton (5-0, 2-0 Ivy) travels to Harvard (3-2, 1-1 Ivy).

Widener fell to Stevenson 20-6. The Pride (3-4, 3-2 Middle Atlantic) is off this week.

West Chester (6-0, 3-0 PSAC East) had a bye. The Golden Rams are on the road this week, at East Stroudsburg (1-6, 0-4 PSAC East).

Villanova was shutout by No. 6 JMU 37-0. The Wildcats (3-4, 0-4 CAA) have a bye this week and return to action on October 27 against New Hampshire.

Delaware State lost to Howard 55-13. This Saturday, the Hornets (0-6, 0-3 MEAC) are on the road again, at South Carolina State (1-5, 1-3 MEAC).

Ursinus was off. The Bears (4-2, 3-2 Centennial) look to break a two-game losing streak when Susquehanna visits Collegeville on Saturday.
