Eagles embattled wide receiver Nelson Agholor’s fate was front and center at coach Doug Pederson’s press conference Monday.
The second-year pass catcher made a critical error on the line of scrimmage that cost the Eagles a touchdown that factored into the Birds 26-15 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Agholor also dropped a 20-yard pass that would have put the Eagles in great position to score again.
Pederson also talked about injuries a running back and the offensive line.

The New York Football Giants tried and tried to hand the Eagles a win Sunday afternoon and failed.
The Birds offense would have none of it.
Eli Manning threw two fourth-quarter interceptions and Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz failed to get a single point from either turnover that handed the ball to the second overall pick in great field position.

Middletown High School’s football team is enjoying a season like no other. At press time the Crusaders were 8-0 on the season with two regular season games to go before the DIAA (Delaware) Division 1 playoffs get underway.
How good is Middletown in 2016? The Crusaders lost to Salesianum in the semi-finals last year 27-21. This year Mark Delpercio’s squad returned the favor, dispatching the Sallies 42-24…and that was the closest game of the year for Middletown.

Players in the NFL have a 100 percent chance of getting hurt at some point in a season, that is just the nature of the beast. That is why of all four major sports in America, in pro football, if you are a backup, you will eventually get a chance to play and make an impact.
On the first play of the second quarter of the Eagles-Giants game at MetLife Stadium last Sunday, Big Blue’s starting guard Justin Pugh sprained his knee and was unable to return. In came Brett Jones, who had all of 17 NFL snaps prior to entering the game.

The new format was supposed to shake things up, when the PIAA, the governing body of high school sports in Pennsylvania, opted to move to 6A format. But as the playoffs began in early November, there were no real surprises atop PIAA District 1. The teams that have been the traditional powers remained the powerhouse, beginning with North Penn.
