UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Jan. 10, 2016 – Brent Pry has been elevated to associate head coach and defensive coordinator, Penn State head football coach James Franklin announced today. Pry has spent the last five seasons on Franklin’s staff as co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Vanderbilt and Penn State. He held the title of assistant head coach for the last three seasons.

Johnson will join Lucas and Nassib in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 30

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Jan. 7, 2015 – Defensive tackle Austin Johnson (Galloway, N.J.) accepted his invitation to play in the 67th Reese’s Senior Bowl. He joins teammates Jordan Lucas (New Rochelle, N.Y.) and All-American Carl Nassib (West Chester, Pa.) as participants in the game. The trio will participate in the nation’s premier all-star contest on Saturday, January 30, 2015. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. ET at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. The NFL Network will televise the contest.

Bowman and Hali Selected to Pro Bowl; Nittany Lions in the NFL – Week 15

Bowman to make third Pro Bowl appearance, while Hali earns fifth consecutive berth

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 23, 2015 – NaVorro Bowman of the San Francisco 49ers and Tamba Hali of the Kansas City Chiefs were selected to the 2016 Pro Bowl Tuesday night. The appearance is the third of Bowman’s career (2013, 2014) and the fifth consecutive for Hali. Allen Robinson is the first alternate for the wide receivers. The Pro Bowl will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, on January 31, 2016.
