JF: Really quickly before we get into the specifics of the bowl game, I am really proud of the guys that we have got graduating this weekend, which is what it’s all about. Matt Baney, Tarow Barney, Adam Breneman, Derek Dowrey, Malik Golden, Austin Johnson, Jake Kiley, Geno Lewis, Angelo Manning – with a master’s degree – Carl Nassib, Nyeem Wartman-White, Trevor Williams, Gary Wooten Jr. and Anthony Zettel. And, then Chaz Powell who finished his eligibility in 2011 and has been driving back and forth for the last year to finish up his degree, I am really proud of him. I want to thank the administration for being supportive of him and allowing him to come back and finish his degree.

Senior defensive end earns fifth All-American honor this season; First Nittany Lion to be on the AP team since 2013
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 13, 2015 – Defensive end Carl Nassib (West Chester, Pa.) added Associated Press All-America first team accolades to his list of accomplishments this season. The AP selection is the fifth All-America honor for Nassib, who earned Walter Camp first team All-America, SI.com first team All-America, CBS Sports first team All-America and USA Today second team All-America status previously.

Senior wins award for nation’s top lineman or linebacker; Nassib first Penn State winner since 1978
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 7, 2015 – Senior defensive end Carl Nassib (West Chester, Pa.) won the 46th Rotary Lombardi Award for the nation’s top lineman (offense or defense) or linebacker. He is the second Nittany Lion to win the award, joining Bruce Clark who won the award in 1978.

Nittany Lions and Bulldogs to clash in Jacksonville on Jan. 2
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 6, 2015 – Penn State returns to a Florida bowl for the first time since the 2010 season when the Nittany Lions take on Southeastern Conference foe Georgia in the 71st annual TaxSlayer Bowl on Saturday, January 2 at noon. The game will air on ESPN. The Nittany Lions last played in a Florida bowl in the 2011 Outback Bowl.
