James Franklin | Head Coach

Opening Statement
Thank you guys for being here. Some notes from the previous game, obviously 1-0, 5-1 overall. Only 28 teams in the country with five wins or better, 2-0 in the league, 5-0 at home – first time since 2008, so some pretty cool things there.

NOTEBOOK: GIANTS EDGE 49ERS TAKE OVER FIRST PLACE IN NFC EAST

Michael Eisen

*Larry Donnell scored the game-winning touchdown on a 12-yard pass from Eli Manning with 21 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. It was the latest the Giants have scored a go-ahead, game-winning touchdown since Nov. 6, 2011, when Manning‘s one-yard touchdown pass to Jake Ballard with 15 seconds remaining enabled them to win at New England, 24-20.

EAGLES CRUSH SAINTS 39-17 AND STAY IN THE HUNT

Al Thompson

For the Eagles and the New Orleans Saints, Sunday’s game at the Linc was a de facto relegation game for the 1-3 teams.
Whichever team lost would be looking at a wasted season.
The Eagles stayed very much in the hunt with a convincing 39-17 win that had it not been for two early interceptions by the ever-improving Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, the blowout could have been much worse.
The 2-3 Eagles next face the New York Giants (3-2) this Monday night with a chance to take over first place in the competitive NFC East. Big Blue beat the San Francisco 49ers 30-27 on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Eli Manning to Larry Donnell with 26 seconds left in the game.

PENN STATE POSTGAME JAMES FRANKLIN

Penn State vs. Indiana University Post Game
October 10, 2015

Opening Statement
I want to thank the fans and the media for coming, supporting us and covering our game. Obviously a great environment here, homecoming. We had all of our family members back in town for a family reunion. The weather was significant for us today. We’ve had some tough situations when it comes to weather. I thought out defense played really well and consistent all day long, especially after the onside kick and the fumble. We go into a point in the game where the field position was swinging more and we were punting really well. I think that factored in. We also had a kick out of bounse which factored in. Our defense was put in a few tough situations and handled it extremely well. I thought we were much more aggressive on offense in the passing game, made some plays. I still feel like we left some yards on the field. We did some nice things. It was a great team win.

By Michael Eisen
October 8, 2015

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Since 2012, when the NFL expanded to 32 teams, only three teams have finished first in run defense and last in pass defense in the same season: the 2006 and 2007 Minnesota Vikings, and the 2012 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

EAGLES HEAD COACH CHIP KELLY PRESS CONFERENCE OCTOBER 8, 2015

admin

Q. When you think about that playoff game against the Saints in 2013, in your first year, what do you think about? What comes to mind?
CHIP KELLY: We didn’t make enough plays, especially down near the end. I thought we put ourselves in a hole; we were down 20-7 at one point. There are a […]
