Opening Statement
JAMES FRANKLIN: As always we appreciate everyone coming out. We thought that it made more sense to have two separate availabilities this week and not be splitting questions between preparation for the bowl game and Coach [Joe] Moorhead. We thought this gave everyone a better opportunity to spend some time with Coach Moorhead.

Rookie running back collects second Freshman All-America honor

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 16, 2015 – Freshman running back Saquon Barkley (Coplay, Pa.) picked up his second Freshman All-American honor with a selection to the Sporting News team Wednesday. He was also selected as a freshman first team honoree by USA Today.

Q. You have five penalties yesterday. That sounds like an improvement. Is that based on what you are saying about everybody being able to practice?
COACH KELLY: I don’t know if it’s based on everybody being able to practice, but it’s something that we talk about all the time and it’s self-inflicted wounds. For us to be successful, we can’t be stopping ourselves.

Many of the Eagles in the post game locker room sported T-Shirts that said “53 Angry Men.”
The slogan on the shirts provided by Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie is an obvious reference to their rekindled passion on the field.
For the past two weeks the Eagles have played angry and the result was wins over teams many thought this team would not win.
Sunday’s 23-20 win over Shady McCoy and the Buffalo Bills (6-7) put the Eagles (6-7) on a clear path to win the NFC East and host a payoff game at the Linc.

Q. Did you shake anybody’s hand?
COACH KELLY: What’s that? I shook Rex’s [Bills Head Coach Rex Ryan] hand like I do after every game.

Veteran coach brings 18 years of collegiate coaching experience, including four as Fordham’s head coach to the Nittany Lions

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 12, 2015 – Penn State head coach James Franklin has named Fordham University head coach Joe Moorhead as the Nittany Lions’ offensive coordinator. Moorhead brings 18 years of collegiate coaching experience to Penn State, including the last four as Fordham’s head coach.

Senior defensive end earns fifth All-American honor this season; First Nittany Lion to be on the AP team since 2013

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 13, 2015 – Defensive end Carl Nassib (West Chester, Pa.) added Associated Press All-America first team accolades to his list of accomplishments this season. The AP selection is the fifth All-America honor for Nassib, who earned Walter Camp first team All-America, SI.com first team All-America, CBS Sports first team All-America and USA Today second team All-America status previously.

Navy did everything it could to lose to Army. Army did everything it could to had the game to the Midshipmen.
Navy (10-2) took advantage of the Black Knights (2-10) second-half mistakes, edging their ancient rival 21-17 before 69,722 fans at Lincoln Financial Field.
Keenan Reynolds produced three big plays that were the difference including a 50-yard touchdown pass to Jamir Tillman late in the third quarter that ended up the game winner for Navy.

With his arm and legs quarterback Ryan Stover leads the FootballStories top-ranked high school team in Pennsylvania into the PIAA AAAA state semi-finals.
