The National Football League announced that three Philadelphia Eagles were selected to the 2016 Pro Bowl, which will be played on January 31, 2016 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

TURNOVERS, POOR TACKLING LEAD TO EAGLES BLOWOUT LOSS TO ARIZONA

The Eagles lost to the Arizona Cardinals 40-17 at Lincoln Financial Field Sunday night on national television.
Incredibly the Birds are still in control if the NFC East despite the win by the Washington Redskins and despite falling to 6-8 on the season.
If the Birds come away with wins over Washington at home next Saturday night and against the Giants the following Sunday, they host a playoff game.

LOSS TO CAROLINA HAS BIG BLUE ON THE BRINK

The Giants lost for the fourth time in five games, and fell to 6-8. They are one game behind Washington in the NFC East. Philadelphia, the third team tied for first place before the Week 15 games, plays Arizona Sunday night. The Giants can still win the division, but according to the Elias Sports Bureau, if the Eagles win Sunday night, the Giants will need the Philadelphia-Washington game next Saturday to end in a tie.

Opening Statement
JF: Really quickly before we get into the specifics of the bowl game, I am really proud of the guys that we have got graduating this weekend, which is what it’s all about. Matt Baney, Tarow Barney, Adam Breneman, Derek Dowrey, Malik Golden, Austin Johnson, Jake Kiley, Geno Lewis, Angelo Manning – with a master’s degree – Carl Nassib, Nyeem Wartman-White, Trevor Williams, Gary Wooten Jr. and Anthony Zettel. And, then Chaz Powell who finished his eligibility in 2011 and has been driving back and forth for the last year to finish up his degree, I am really proud of him. I want to thank the administration for being supportive of him and allowing him to come back and finish his degree.

GIANTS D-LINE GOES RETRO – BIG BLUE BRINGS BACK BARRY COFIELD

Last month, the Giants brought back a member of their Super Bowl XLVI championship team when they signed wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.
This week, they reached deeper into their past when they signed defensive tackle Barry Cofield, who played on the Giants team that won Super Bowl XLII. Like Nicks, Cofield did not play a down in the 2015 season before joining his old team and is eager to line up and help out. The Giants host the undefeated Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
