EAGLES DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR JIM SCHWARTZ PRESS CONFERENCE OCTOBER 13, 2016

admin

Q. What went on in the first half against the Lions?
JIM SCHWARTZ: It wasn’t really big plays. They just methodically moved the ball. A couple times penalties contributed to keeping those drives alive. It’s something in our first three games we really, I thought, did a good job of avoiding penalties that kept drives […]

RAINY WIN FOR PENN STATE BUT WORTH THE WATCH FOR FANS

admin

If Maryland fans are looking for redemption the score will actually be almost equivalent in February when the two basketball teams meet. Maryland basketball looks as dangerous to Penn State as Penn State football looks to Maryland. The daunting task of Maryland of staying relevant in football looked easier last year as they snatched victory […]

PENN STATE SHOWS MARKED IMPROVEMENT BUT STILL LACKS LUSTER

admin

By Tim Blasco

Last year I sat at the beginning of the season in the press box of Lincoln Financial Field watching hopeful Owls fans act a little to excited for what I thought was a melee about to take place. My dad always used to joke “If most of these D1 schools knew of a more disadvantaged team, they’d play them.” I thought my editor had sent me to cover a slam dunk of a game. Yep, it didn’t get much easier than watching Penn State win their first game of the season. Or so I thought. What a difference a year makes, and for that matter one day in that year.

HERE’S TO THE BOTTOM!

admin

By Tim Blasco

Frank Sinatra sings one of my favorite song “Here’s to the Losers.” Every year I grab Phil Steele’s College Football Preview and flip through so many articles it makes my head spin. There’s strength of schedule, top prospects for the draft, and even those “dark horse teams.” I played on a small football team in High School and we played our hearts out but never won anything. I eventually flip to the power rankings and look at the teams in last place.
