AGHOLOR WENT FROM GOAT TO GREAT IN ONE SEASON

Brian Baldinger

Where would the Eagles be in 2017 without Nelson Agholor? Dare I say that they might not be 5-1 going into this Monday Night Football rematch with the Washington Redskins? His contributions have been that important. How, might one quip, ‘is that possible?’ Afterall, he struggled mightily through his first two seasons after being a […]

GIANTS SUSPEND CB JANORIS JENKINS INDEFINITELY

Al Thompson

It isn’t like the Giants needed anything else to go wrong. Winning breeds good chemistry. Losing breeds descension. Since the Giants own one of the worst records in the NFL this year and since the expectations were so high, this was bound to happen. Cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been suspended indefinitely for violation of team rules, […]

EAGLES DEFEAT 0-8 SAN FRANCISCO, STAY ON TOP OF NFL STANDINGS

Al Thompson

The Eagles game against the winless San Francisco 49ers went pretty much the way most people thought it would. The home team was at least three touchdowns better than the 49ers and when it was all over, the 33-10 score at the rain-soaked Linc showed the predictions were accurate. But it wasn’t pretty and it […]

EAGLES EXPECT A HANDFUL OF RAIN AND A TOUGH 49ERS TEAM ON SUNDAY

Al Thompson

If you look at the San Francisco 49ers’ 0-7 record you may think “how can the Eagles lose to these guys?” If you look at their record closely, you can see how the Birds could lose to these guys. The 49ers are a solid team that simply hasn’t closed out games this year. San Francisco […]

TAYLOR HART LATEST EAGLE LIVING LIFE ON THE NFL FRINGE

Al Thompson

Life in the fringes of the NFL can be a little crazy. Every year dozens of players are released and re-signed throughout the year as injuries occur and various teams’ needs change. Running back Kenjon Barner was a sixth round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2013. When it didn’t work out there he found […]

AFTER SLOW START, WENTZ PUTS ON A SHOW, LEADS EAGLES TO A 34-24 WIN OVER WASHINGTON

Al Thompson

PHILADELPHIA: They say in life timing is everything. You’re either in the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time. For the Eagles these days, their timing couldn’t be better, at least through the first seven games. Quarterback Carson Wentz could not have picked a better time to escape […]

GIANTS LACK OF PERSONNEL ON OFFENSE SHOWS IN 24-7 LOSS TO SEATTLE

Al Thompson

EAST RUTHERFORD: The Giants came into their game against the Seattle Seahawks with a new-found attitude on offense following Big Blue’s 23-10 road win against the Denver Broncos last week. The Giants defense always had the attitude. But attitude alone was not enough Sunday as the Seahawks offense was able to wear down the Giants […]

2018 NFL DRAFT TO BE HOSTED IN DALLAS AT AT&T

admin

The last time the NFL let Jerry Jones host a major NFL event at AT&T Stadium is was a disaster.
On February 6, 2011, the stadium hosted Super Bowl XLV in which the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31–25.
Hours before kickoff, over 1,200 seats were blocked off in the interest of safety; according to a police officer in the affected area, the seats hadn’t been finished in time for the fire marshal to inspect them. Approximately 800 people were given other seats inside the stadium, thus costing the NFL any chance of setting the Super Bowl attendance record (the final figure of 103,219 came 766 short of the record set in Super Bowl XIV.
On February 9, 2011, the first lawsuit was filed against the NFL and Jerry Jones. Will Jones get a chance to redeem himself?
