McADOO AND THE GIANTS 0-4 START

Al Thompson

The Giants have their faults for sure: An offensive line that is not effective in the run game. Big Blue does not have the running backs who could take advantage of good blocking even if they did. Special teams has let them down when it counts the most…giving up walk-off field goals on back-to back […]

ODELL BECKHAM, JR CAN BE AS STUPID AS HE IS BRILLIANT

Al Thompson

Odell Beckham, Jr. is many things. One thing he is not, is boring.
The fourth-year superstar threw a bucket of water over one of his best ever performances.
After his first of two touchdowns, Beckham got down on all fours and pretended to be dog, then imitated a dog taking a leak on a fire hydrant, but used the Eagles end zone as the hydrant.
It drew a 15-yard penalty, a meeting with his coach and another meeting with Giants President and CEO John Mara.
All that instead of breaking down the Giants upcoming road game against Tampa Bay.

EAGLES PULL OFF LAST SECOND WIN OVER GIANTS THAT WAS MEMORABLE IN MANY WAYS

Al Thompson

The Eagles pulled out a 27-24 win over the rival New York Football Giants on a 61-yard walk-off field goal by rookie Jake Elliott to improve to 2-1, 2-0 in the NFC East.
The game was memorable on many levels including an extraordinary showing of team and league unity after the NFL and its players, coaches and owners came under attack by President Trump over protests by players held during the playing of the National Anthem.

PUGH, MANNING, SULLIVAN BRAINSTORM TO FIND GIANTS OFFENSE

Al Thompson

Giants veteran offensive lineman, Justin Pugh said the offensive line was not going to give up, that they would keep fighting to figure out a way to get the job done. When your quarterback gets sacked eight times in the first two games, you’ve scored only 13 points and there is not real running game […]

MALCOLM JENKINS SAYS ELI MANNING ISN’T SEEING GHOSTS, HE’S BEEN HIT BY A FEW

Al Thompson

So far this season Giants longtime quarterback Eli Manning has the look of a guy who does not want to get hit anymore. He has been sacked eight times in two games, but has been hit several more times than get charted. He has also fallen down several time or reacted to pressure that’s not […]

The Eagles have rushed for a total of 165 yards with a decent 4.0 yards per carry but 61 of those yards have come from quarterback Carson Wentz on broken […]

WEEK ONE: GIANTS OFFENSE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND IN DALLAS

Al Thompson

The Giants players may have traveled to Texas, but Big Blue’s offense must have stayed in New Jersey.

Cowboys ace kicker Dan Bailey booted four field goals, but the Cowboys scored just 19 points against tough Giants defense. Trouble was the Giants’ offense didn’t hold up its end of the deal. They scored only on rookie Aldrick Rosas’ 25-yard field goal, and left Texas with a 19-3 loss and a 0-1 record.

GIANTS DE OLIVIER VERNON IS A MAN OF FEW WORDS, BUT LOTS OF ACTION

Al Thompson

Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon is a man of few words. His answers mirror his play on the field and that is he takes a straight line from point “A” to “B.” That’s it, don’t like it? Too bad. Vernon was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. […]
