Giants head coach Pat Shurmur is taking over a team that won just three games last year. Shurmur didn’t completely clean house but brought in enough to back up his coaching philosophies while keeping a bridge to connect with the players the team chooses to keep. Giants will get to see that Shurmur’s business-like temperament […]

FOLES, SPECIAL TEAMS SHINE IN WIN OVER GIANTS, DEFENSE NOT SO MUCH

Al Thompson

EAST RUTHERFORD: There were plenty of questions on whether current Eagles quarterback Nick Foles could play like the Nick Foles who led the Eagles to the NFC East title in 2013, and a 6-2 record in 2014 before he was injured. Those questions were answered with capital YES Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium when the […]

GIANTS TALK ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE PLAYING FOR WHEN THEY FACE THE EAGLES THIS WEEK

Staff report

The Giants are still fighting, the former despite an ankle injury he aggravated last week, and the latter with the weight of a dismal 2-11 record on their backs. Tomorrow, they can create a season highlight, and enjoy payback for perhaps their toughest defeat of the season, when they host the 11-2 Philadelphia Eagles, who have already clinched the NFC East title and have their eyes on securing the top seed in the conference playoffs.
The Giants would love to derail those plans, even temporarily.
