The Eagles pulled out a 27-24 win over the rival New York Football Giants on a 61-yard walk-off field goal by rookie Jake Elliott to improve to 2-1, 2-0 in the NFC East.
The game was memorable on many levels including an extraordinary showing of team and league unity after the NFL and its players, coaches and owners came under attack by President Trump over protests by players held during the playing of the National Anthem.

The Giants players may have traveled to Texas, but Big Blue’s offense must have stayed in New Jersey.
Cowboys ace kicker Dan Bailey booted four field goals, but the Cowboys scored just 19 points against tough Giants defense. Trouble was the Giants’ offense didn’t hold up its end of the deal. They scored only on rookie Aldrick Rosas’ 25-yard field goal, and left Texas with a 19-3 loss and a 0-1 record.
