Talk to most coaches and players and they will tell there are no good losses. At the pro level, they will tell you there is no such thing as a moral victory. A loss is a loss.
But there may have been a silver lining inside a recent loss by the Philadelphia Soul, the Delaware Valley’s entry in the Arena Football League.
After dropping a terrible loss to the Jacksonville Sharks last Monday, the Soul took out their frustration on Steel, cruising to a 42-6 lead at the half on route to an easy 70-32 victory against the Portland in front of 8,782 fans at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Sunday night.

The roster heading into the 2016 season looks very similar to the roster from last season, with many of the same players filling prominent roles. However, in order to get over the hump and into the ArenaBowl, the team knew it needed to add depth at a few positions to stay at the top of its game throughout a grueling 16 game schedule.

It’s impossible to predict how his season will end, but Jason Pierre-Paul will have a much better start in 2016 than he did last year.
JPP said today he will report with his teammates to the start of the Giants’ offseason conditioning program on April 11. That already puts him ahead of where he was a year ago, when he was a free agent and a non-participant in the program. That commenced a long absence for the two-time Pro Bowler, who missed training camp after his now well-known July 4 fireworks accident and the first eight games of the regular season while he rehabilitated his badly-injured right hand.

Smyrna is the Footballstories Magazine 2015 Team of the Year for Delaware.
When the Smyrna High School coaching staff got together to plan the 2015 season, they realized that, with all the offensive starters returning, and with talent like junior Nolan Henderson at quarterback and an emerging standout sophomore running back in Will Knight, plus a defensive leader in lineman Jeff Campbell, Judy and his staff knew they had something special in front of them.

The Eagles announced today they have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with QB Sam Bradford.
The total value of the deal is $36 million, $26 million guaranteed. Reports say playoff bonuses could push the contract to $40 million.
The deal gives Bradford near elite money per year, while the Eagles must feel safe with just two seasons committed to a quarterback who has had significant injuries prior to coming to Philadelphia.
It appears both parties came away winners.
