It may be painful for Eagles fans to admit, but the 2016 season is shrinking in your rearview mirror right in front of your eyes.
Playoffs? It would take a lot of unlikely things to fall in place for that to happen.
Monday night’s 27-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers (5-6) at Lincoln Financial Field may have shut the door on a Wild Card spot.

Left out of notebook was the play of guard Brett Jones who came into the game early in the second quarter for Justin Pugh who sprained his knee. Jones more than held down the fort.
Big Blue’s rushing attack struggled but Eli Manning threw four TD passes and was sacked just once.

Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson is caught between a rock and a hard place with regards to tackle Lane Johnson.
The 6-foot-6, 317-pounder signed a five-year contract this offseason, that according to spotrac.com, was worth a total of $56,260,000.00 with $35,500.000.00 of it guaranteed. That was until Johnson failed a second test for PEDs just as training camp opened.

The Eagles play the New York Jets Thursday night at the Linc (7 p.m. NBC 10). The Birds, like last year, enter this game 3-0 with a quarterback in Sam Bradford who has been lights out again in the preseason.
Eagles fans and observers are much more cautious about predictions than they were last year when many predicted Super Bowl glory. Most starters will not play.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Jason Pierre-Paul continues to insist that the NFL’s most talked-about right hand will not hinder him in games this season. “My hand feels like my left hand, just missing a couple fingers,” Pierre-Paul said today. Not everyone would be so nonchalant about absent fingers, but the two-time Pro Bowl defensive end […]

The Eagles training camp under first-year head coach Doug Pederson is underway and so far – from an organizational standpoint – has received positive reviews. Many players brought back from the Chip Kelly three-year era – particularly the offensive lineman are enjoying the slower pace that Pederson’s practices employ in contrast to Kelly’s break-neck tempo […]
