The “Make The World Better Foundation” (MTWB), established in 2013 by Barwin, will hold its inaugural benefit concert at Philadelphia music venue Union Transfer June 20, 2014, featuring 2013’s “Philly Artist of the Year” Kurt Vile and the Violators.
Barwin informs there are three area bands to perform June 20, two are from the Delaware Valley, both are getting looks at the national level. In addition to Kurt Vile the plus The Districts are from here.
Also performing are The Tontons from Houston, home of the Houston Texans, the other NFL team Barwin played for before joining the Eagles before the 2013 season.

Most college football fans know of the football traditions at Navy, Army and the Air Force. But how many know the Coast Guard Academy also plays football albeit at the Division III level.
However, they have the same requirement, just like their FBS big brothers, that attendees commit to five years of service following graduation. At the FBS level, the academies have among the smallest enrollment and the same is true of the Coast Guard.

A handful of days after the Lott IMPACT Trophy became the first to release its spring watch list, the Rimington Trophy has done the same, announcing Monday an initial group of 64 players to watch.
