If it wasn’t bad enough that Widener lost their NCAA Division III quarterfinal playoff game against Linfield 45-7, Pride head coach Mike Kelly felt that the head coach of the local NFL team gave aid and comfort to the enemy by allowing the Wildcats to practice at the NovaCare Complex. “They’re a good football team,” […]

While NFL teams in Green Bay, Boston, Denver, Indianapolis and Philadelphia are playing football games to determine a playoff spot or improve their seeding, players on teams like the Giants, Titans, Jets and Jacksonville are competing to keep jobs.
In some cases players are actually getting a chance to audition, if not with the team they are currently with, then for teams who might be scouting these games.
The game between the Giants and Titans (FOX 1 p.m. ET) will not be flexed for prime time.
Combined the two teams have just five wins.

There are football fans out there who think kickers are just soccer players pulled off the pitch for a few hours every week to kick extra points and field goals.
Those people are wrong. Football kickers make it to the top of their position on the Grid Iron the same way quarterbacks, lineman, defensive backs, running backs, linebackers and receivers do: With passion, drive, dedication, talent a strong work ethic.
Jim Cooper is one of those kickers. The former high school, Temple kicker has transferred his experience into teaching young kickers the tools of the trade

The top three teams get in the College Football Playoffs with wins in their respective conference championship games (which is easier said than done). If teams four through six all win, again it won’t be easy, I think, the fourth team will be Baylor. The Bears will be Big 12 champions and have the head-to-head […]

When determining the top four for the playoffs, conference championships are a factor. However, how much weight should they be given? This is an especially important question now that the title games are coming up. Personally, I would rank a one-loss Mississippi State team, that finished second in the SEC West, ahead of a one-loss […]

It’s been a November to remember, the month started with 18 teams with one loss and four undefeated teams. Now, it’s seven and two and one of each of those (Marshall and Colorado State) is from the group of five conferences and has no shot at the Playoffs. However, the work the committee must do […]

The Eagles had one of those days…well nights…Monday night on Monday Night Football against the Carolina Panthers at the Linc. Every play, every call, every break went their way. Make no mistake, the Eagles earned this win, a 45-21 verdict over the Panthers,
If this was a boxing match, the Eagles scored a first round knockout against the Panthers who dropped to 3-6-1 but incredibly are only one game out of the NFC South.

There’s a chill in the air and in college football November is the month to remember, it’s usually when the biggest rivalry games are played and – especially at the lower levels — when the conference championships get decided. There are playoff births on the line.

There are many “sports drinks” that are great for re-hydration and getting electrolytes back into you system, so by no means do I want to punt them away.
But, chocolate milk offers you a great mix of carbohydrates and proteins to help jump start the rebuilding and recovery process.
