Ron Johnson Jr. and Brad Hawkins Jr. know the history. The two stellar Camden football players are fully aware Camden’s last—and only—state football championship came in 1976, when the Panthers captured the Group 4 South Jersey championship. Ken Harper has been given an opportunity for that kind of role at the NFL level by the New York Giants.
Harper had to get through a tryout he was invited to as part of Big Blue’s Rookie Camp. The 6-foot, 225

It didn’t take Patrick Banning to get over the mourning process that all athletes endure when their season prematurely ends. The Neumann-Goretti 6-foot-2, 287-pound two-way lineman took a day off, after the Saints lost to Dunmore, 30-18, in the PIAA Class AA state quarterfinals. The following day, he was back in the weight room working on this coming 2015 season.

Nelson Agholor is a nice start. On a perfect spring night in the Windy City Mr. Agholor’s name was called in the first round, the fourth wide receiver drafted on the special night. Eventually two more wide receivers’ name would be called in the first round, making it a total of six new shiny toys for their respective teams to highlight and amalgamate into their scheme.

It’s tough enough to come from the rustic community of Weyburn, Saskatchewan (pop. 10,484), Canada and start the final chapter of your football career, an opportunity to play in the NFL.
But to make that start in the biggest stage in America, the New York City area, it must be overwhelming, right?
Apparently not for Giants free agent center Brett Jones.
