Q: What was it like to get back on the field?
A: Grass is nice. Grass is nice. It was good to be outside. We had sun here this weekend, as you know; it was a beautiful weekend from that standpoint. We were outside today and enjoyed it and hopefully we can be outside this week.
Q: Six games remaining…lots of opportunities still present?
A: Six-game schedule. That’s it, six-game season. We’re excited about that. Watched a lot of football yesterday, as you all did, I’m sure. Got excited, got upset, got excited, got all the emotions in play, but we’re excited to be back on the field and seeing all of our guys again. Hopefully they’re well rested and ready to go.
Q: Are they well rested?
A: I think so.
Q: Anyone not out here that you were hoping would be?
A: Like who?
Q: Keith Rivers?
A: Rivers had a mild…there is no mild. He had an accident last week, a car accident. He’s being evaluated. He bruised a knee; we hope that’s all it is. He’s being looked at.
Q: That was last week?
A: That was last week.
Q: Jacquian Williams and Domenik Hixon did not practice?
A: No.
Q: Starting with the Packers, they’ve won five straight, what are your thoughts?
A: Well, I’ll have more to say about that on Wednesday, but I did watch the game yesterday. There isn’t any question, they’re 7-3, they’re a good football team, a divisional game, a game right to the wire, but they were able to win right at the end of the game. They’re playing well right now and they have a good football team. We’ll get into this very much so today and tomorrow and have some thoughts on Wednesday.
Q: Kenny Phillips was back out there, does he look good?
A: He’s trying to get back to it. It’s probably good for him to be out there. We’ll see what he’s like tomorrow and Wednesday; see how much both Jacquian and Kenny can do.
Q: How is Ahmad Bradshaw?
A: He’s out there working. He practiced today.
Q: Is his neck okay?
A: Yeah. I’m sure there were a number of things. He appeared to be fine today.
Q: How do you handle Thursday?
A: Practice like a Friday. Get out of here by 2:00, and we’ll stay a little bit longer on Friday and come back and look at the tape after practice. They’ll have plenty of time to enjoy their families on Thanksgiving. We’ll all give thanks and then we’ll work a little longer on Friday. We just flipped the days a little bit.
Q: Was the Rivers accident local?
A: No, I think he was in California.
Q: What is it like with so much left to be determined with six games left?
A: That’s what it’s all about. You’ve got it to this point. It’s certainly in our hands, in our own control. We have a one-game lead in the division. We play some very good football teams down the stretch here, but that’s what it is. It’s a stretch. We’re excited about that part of it. We look forward to it; one game at a time.
Q: How long were the coaches here last week?
A: We were here plenty.
Q: Was it a good chance to look at your team internally?
A: We studied ourselves and we studied others, too. In the rankings that we do and how we keep track of the league and ourselves, when we look at the areas that we’re not doing quite so well in, we look at the top teams in the league. We did all of that. We prepared that way and spent pretty much the whole morning with our players, inside, on those areas; looking at self-scout and then imparting some ideas or some thoughts that we may have uncovered in our research.
Q: Has Keith Rivers made it back to New Jersey yet?
A: Keith is here; he’s at the doctors right now.
Q: How did Eli Manning look after the week off?
A: Sharp.
