PREP STAYS ON TOP OF SOUTHEASTERN PA TOP 20 HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS WITH WIN OVER ST. IGNATIUS
Al Thompson
St. Joe’s Prep would seem to be a lock to win its third consecutive PIAA AAAA State Title.
The last two seasons the Hawks have lost handily to nationally ranked Don Posco Prep of North Jersey only to go on to win the state title while the Ironmen have gone on to lose in the North Jersey ultra- competitive Group V Non Public New Jersey State playoffs.
This year the Prep got crunched 55-21 on September 12 but still ranked No. 5 in Pennsylvania and No. 189 nationally.
Last week St. Joe’s defeated highly regarded St. Ignatius of Cleveland 35-6 and remains the No. 1 ranked team on the Footballstories Top 20 High School Football teams of SE Pennsylvania.

Imhotep Charter has outscored its opponents 130-22 so far this season with one shutout.

Defending AAA State champion and Footballstories Team of the Year Archbishop Wood and Upper Dublin have both made mince meat out of their first three opponents.
