Jeremy Maclin on Giants safety Antrel Rolle’s comments that the Eagles NFC title in 2013 was watered down because the other three teams were bad.

“He talks a lot,” Maclin said. “He talks too much.”

Rolle was asked about his comments from the other day…that last year’s division wasn’t a lot to work with in it… and that in Philly they didn’t take too kindly to it.

“I said what I said. That’s no discredit to Philly. Obviously they were the best team in our division last year. They finished 10-6. That’s an awesome record for any team in the NFL. I said what I said. Division was weak, in my opinion. That doesn’t discredit Philly under any means. If they want to take it that way, then so be it. The game still has to be played come Sunday.”

Rolle was asked about all the hostile environments he has played in. He was asked to describe how Philadelphia is different.

“To be honest with you, I really don’t pay attention to the crowd. The only way to silence the crowd is you go out there and play your ball and limit their success. That is the only way to silence the crowd. If we don’t like how they are cheering, then don’t give them anything to cheer about. That’s how I look at it.”

Rolle was asked how much he looking forward to this game.

“Right now, it is the biggest game of the year for us. It is the biggest game of the year because it is this week. That is how I look at it. I approach every game with the same mentality each and every week.”

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy was asked by the New York media that it sounded like a couple of the Eagles in the locker room were ruffled by the picture of DRC and Prince [Amukamara] with the Eagles jersey (It had the No. of Super Bowls won by the Giants and a zero for the Eagles on it)…

What were his thoughts when you saw that?

“I am trying to think did Prince win a Super Bowl? – ‘Prince did yes’ – I know DRC didn’t. Whatever. I don’t know what to say about it. I guess it is entertaining, I am not sure. I don’t know. I don’t know what to say because we haven’t won a Super Bowl. That is why we are playing the game now to try to win one.”

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy was asked by the New York media if he missed having Osi [Umenyiora] in this match-up or is there the same juice regardless?

“Ahh man, my old buddy Osi. The rivalry is obviously the same. Having Osi and Tuck that was kind of something special. They still have a good team. I think the rivalry is definitely serious. I feel like with the new guys you have to build a relationship with them. Certain guys you play with for three or four years so you know how they play, what they do well and what pisses them off you know that type of thing. It’s a little different the last few years.”

Defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka was asked about playing the Eagles…they are 4-1, Giants are 3-2. There is no love lost between the two teams.

“No, definitely no love lost. It is what you live to play for when you are a little kid, these are the games that you want to be involved in because you know they are going to be remembered. Not just for a year or two, but remember them for years to come.”

Especially in prime time.

“Of course, nothing better.”

Kiwanuka was asked What’s different about Philadelphia and that hostile environment?

“It’s the people, the people. We don’t have to deal with is as much, but when you come back, your families tell you all the stories about stuff that happened in the stands. It is, hands down, a gritty, grimy city and they love their team and they are willing to support and they do it in their own special way.”

Eagles rookie defensive tackle Beau Allen on his first Eagle-Giants game.

“It is only the beginning of the week and the vets have imposed on the younger guys how important it is. There is a lot of history between these two teams. There are a lot of games that have been played…everyone had kind of gone up against each other twice every year for…how long (since 1933)? It’s exciting. obviously it is a big rivalry…it’s going to be a big week for us. It will be a fun game.”

Eli Manning was asked if he is going to talk to rookie running back Andre Williams who is getting his first start against the Eagles. Williams is in for injured starter Rashad Jennings who is out with an injury. Manning was asked what he will tell Williams in his first start in such a hostile place like Philadelphia.

“You can’t worry about the environment and the atmosphere. You’ve got to enjoy going into a place where they don’t like you, so I think he’s played in hostile environments before in college. I think he’s just going to be worried about his assignment and going out there and playing good football.”

Manning was asked how much he is looking forward to facing off against Philly? They’re 4-1, Big Blue is 3-2.

“Any time you face a division team, it’s always important. They’re playing good football, they’re winning games in different ways. Always talented, have good players and so we know we’ve got to play our best football and it’s going to be Sunday night, it will be a wild atmosphere. We’ve got to get ready for that, but I’m looking forward to a big game. These ones are always important and always exciting games.”
