Ursinus’ John Carty

Senior defensive lineman John Carty was named Centennial Conference Defensive Play of the Week by registering 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, as the Bears defeated Susquehanna, 30-10. The Paul VI High School grad from Cherry Hill also had a sack among 2.5 tackles for loss as Ursinus limited the Crusaders to just 272 total yards.

The Bears also had the Special Teams Player of the Week in Eric Boyer. The sophomore kicker, from Upper Dublin High School, had a perfect night, converting all three field goal and all three PATs in the Ursinus win. His field goals covered 33, 28 and 22 yards.
