THE IGL – INDOOR GRIDIRON LEAGUE: SAVING THE GAME OF INDOOR FOOTBALL
On a cold rainy October evening back in 2011, a group of potential Ownership groups (eight all together) gathered at The Holiday Inn Stadium Sports Bar to hear and listen to a presentation about The IGL – Indoor Gridiron League.

What would transpire from that meeting over the next/first three years of existence has now propelled the IGL (developmental indoor football league) into unchartered waters with a National Partner ready to sign a multi-year sponsorship contract and potential investors and former football stars ringing the cell phone and blowing up the email of JAKIB Media looking for an opportunity.

In order for you to understand the significance of this story, you must first look at the landscape of change that has occurred for Team Owners, Players, Officials, Broadcasters and others who find themselves in a better position today than most of their expectations and in some way, shape or form, they owe it all to The IGL – Indoor Gridiron League.

Let’s start with the players:
“We created this league for the players,” stated Joe Krause, Owner & Operator of JAKIB Media Sports “with the mission of providing an opportunity and a Rolodex of contacts that would help those engaged find success in the sport they love!

Krause’s formula created immediate success as the very first pick in the inaugural IGL Draft back in 2012, Brian Brikowski utilized the Rolodex and launched his career into the AFL, where he played with Cleveland & Chicago.

Brikowski can now be seen starting in the CFL, where he plays for the Montreal Alouettes. He’s one step away from the National Football League and attributes his opportunity to The IGL – Indoor Gridiron League.

“The IGL created it all for me” stated a very confident Brikowski. “All in All, in the league’s first three years, over 45 Players have signed Professional Contracts, realizing their dream of playing football for a paycheck.

AND THAT’S NOT ALL:
Ownership of a team in The IGL – Indoor Gridiron League has also created financial prosperity and opportunity for three current Professional Organizations. The Trenton Freedom of the PIFL (Professional Indoor Football League), The York Capitals of the AIF (American Indoor Football) and now most recently, The ASI Panthers, who just announced their Professional Organization as a member of the AIF for the upcoming 2015 Season.

Dennis Green played one season in The IGL – Indoor Gridiron League as a member of the New Jersey Bull Dawgs. Following a very successful season in 2013, Dennis funneled financial support into launching the Trenton Freedom and in Year One already established himself and his organization as a top representative.

Isaac Carn, who has been part of the Semi Pro Football world for 20 years, was one of those owners who showed up at the Holiday Inn on that rainy night in October. After listening, he decided to bring his team, the Delaware Buccaneers into the IGL. Following a Championship in 2013, the Delaware
Buccaneers are now The York Capitals, a professional football organization, who will compete in the American Indoor Football League.

Which leads us to Bill Mattis, Owner of All Star Inc. a Professional Sports Agent who joined the IGL back in 2013.

His organization embraced Krause’s philosophy and formula for success and now will begin play in 2015 as a Professional Organization in Reading, also playing in the AIF.

BUT WAIT – THERE’S MORE
At Lincoln Financial Field during any home Eagles Game, you’ll see Sam Davis working the sidelines as an NFL Official. She also entered The IGL – Indoor Gridiron League as a back judge in the inaugural season and credits the league with becoming her platform to reach the National Football League.

The league is also responsible for shaping, creating and supporting the first Arena Football Game, AFL China and the launch of Professional Football in China, where Krause worked directly with AFL

Global on the execution and production of two historic football & second Army Veterans vs. Navy Veterans

In addition, IGL Commissioner, Henry Racich was tapped by AFL Global to lead a two-week training session in China at four University’s in preparation for the First ever College Football Tournament in China.

And, a member of the CSB broadcast team, who called the games and hosted a weekly television show, titled IGL Weekly, now works for Fox Sports on NFL coverage and co-hosts The Football Show on WWDB, 860am (with Krause). His name is Erik Houser.

Meanwhile, as 2015 approaches and the IGL – Indoor Gridiron League prepares for Season Four by adding the utilization of GO PRO Camera’s to the players & coaches – Krause is also preparing for the launch of The WIGL – Women’s Indoor Gridiron League, a league with aspirations of becoming a
professional woman’s league following the developmental process!
