FINAL SUPER 30 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAMS FOR 2013.

Congratulations are in order for St. Joe’s Prep (13-3) for winning the PIAA AAAA State Championship and for also being selected as the No. 1 ranked team in the final Footballstories Super 30 High Schol Football teams for 2013.
The Hawks body of work in the playoffs was the difference as the Prep was able to hang in there while its starting quarterback and leader Chris Martin was on the mend from a leg injury.
St. Joe’s defeated Roman Catholic (45-24), LaSalle (30-20), Frankford (10-7), Parkland (21- 10), Neshaminy (37-21) and Pittsburgh Central Catholic (35-10) to win the first State title in the program’s history.

Imhotep Charter (11-3) had a great season making it to the PIAA AA State Championship where the Panthers lost 41-0 to South Fayette (16-0).Imhotep finished No. 5 in the final Footballstories rankings.

In AAA PIAA playoff action Archbishop Wood (13-2) knocked off Bishop McDevitt of Harrisburg 22-10 to win its second State Championship in three years. The Vikings finished No. 3 in the Footballstories High school rankings.

In South Jersey, Cherokee (11-1) won the Group V State Championship in convincing fashion, winning its three playoffs games by a combined score of 124-16. The Chiefs finished a close No. 2 in the Footballstories final High School rankings.

Shawnee (9-3) completed its turnaround season by knocking off Timber Creek (10-2) 31-22 in the Group IV Championship game.

Delsea (10-2) won the Group III title with a 31-7 victory over Barnegat (10-2).

Holy Spirit (11-1) lost to DePaul (Wayne, NJ) in the Group 2 non-public title game 35-16.

Glassboro (8-5) dominated Penns Grove (8-4) 44-0 to win the Group 1 title.
In the Group II title game Haddonfield (10-2) knocked off previously undefeated Woodstown (11 -1).

St. Joseph’s (Hammonton) (11-1) defeated St. Mary (Rutherford) 33-13 for the non-public group I title.

In Delaware, Congratulations are in order for No. 14 Salesianum (11-1) after the Sallies defeated Middletown (10-2) 23-7 and winning the Delaware Division 1 State title.

St. George’s Tech (11-2) lost to Hodgson Vo-Tech (11-3) 38-0 to win the Delaware Division II Championship also at Delaware Stadium.
