The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms on a five-year contract with S Rodney McLeod.

Per published reports McLeod’s deal is worth $37 Million with $17 Million guaranteed.

Originally signed by the St. Louis Rams as an un-drafted free agent in 2012, McLeod (25) played in all 64 games in his four seasons with the Rams, including 48 consecutive starts, and tallied 289 tackles (205 solo), five interceptions, 16 passes defensed, six forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.

McLeod (5-10, 195) started in all 16 games in 2015 and finished third on the team with a career-high 106 tackles, while also contributing five passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. The fifth-year pro emerged as a full-time starter for the Rams in just his second season in 2013 and went on to record 87 tackles, two interceptions, five passes defensed, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 16 starts. That season, he was voted by his teammates as the club’s special teams captain.

An honorable mention All-ACC performer at the University of Virginia, McLeod became the first Cavalier in nearly 20 years to record three interceptions in a single game. As a senior in 2011, he led the team with four interceptions.

McLeod, a native of Clinton, MD, was a standout football and track star at DeMatha Catholic High School. During his time in St. Louis, he served as an ambassador for the city’s Salvation Army chapter and volunteered his time to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
