GIANTS OWN NINTH PICK OF 2015 NFL DRAFT

If the Chicago Bears don’t take Brandon Scherff in the first round the New York Giants will most likely pick him first.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.  – The National Football League will conduct its 80th annual college draft Thursday, April 30through Saturday, May 2. The 2015 NFL Draft will be held at Auditorium Theater in Chicago and will be broadcast live with round-by-round coverage on NFL Network and ESPN/ESPN 2. The draft will begin on Thursday, April 30, with Round 1 at8:00 p.m.; continue on Friday, May 1 with Rounds 2-3 at 7 p.m., and conclude on Saturday May 2 with Rounds 4-7 beginning at noon.
 
The New York Giants currently own the ninth overall selection, the first time they’ve held that pick in the common draft era, and the second time in franchise history. The Giants last drafted in the ninth spot in the first-ever NFL Draft in 1936, selecting tackle Art Lewis from Ohio University.
 
The Giants own eight total picks in this year’s draft: One each in Rounds 1-6 and two in Round 7, including the 245th overall selection that they received from the Denver Broncos in a trade last August for kicker Brandon McManus.
