Eagles reduced their roster to 73 players
The Philadelphia Eagles released the following players:

LS John DePalma
CB Randall Evans
OL Andrew Gardner
WR Chris Givens
DT Mike Martin
S Nick Perry
WR Rueben Randle
CB Denzel Rice

The Eagles also placed LB Joe Walker (knee) and DE Alex McCalister (calf) on Injured Reserve.

Following today’s moves, the roster currently stands at 73 players.

Gardner signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on March 31, 2014. Last year he earned th starting right guard spot only to be lost for the season in week 3 after suffering a Lisfranc injury and did not return. Gardner’s injury occurred during the Eagles’ 24-17 victory over the New York Jets. The Eagles picked up numerous free agent offensive linemen last year and in the offseason and drafted two linemen. It was a numbers game. Randle and Givens did not perform well over training camp and when Josh Huff and newcomer Dorial Green-Beckham played well against the Indianapolis Colts Saturday night, the writing was on the wall.
