DELAWARE COUNTY NATIVE AND NFL STAR ANTHONY BECHT TO HOST SUMMER FOOTBALL CAMP AGAIN
admin

Anthony Becht starred at Monsignor Bonner and eventually became a first round pick of the New York Jets in 2000.
NFL tight end Anthony Becht may have changed teams once more, but his devotion to the football scene in the Delaware Valley has not.
The former first round draft pick of the New York Jets and Monsignor Bonner graduate is sponsoring the Anthony Becht Football Camp June 24-26 for campers, grades 4-8 (fall 2009).
The cost is $165.00 and will be held at Monsignor Bonner High School 403 N. Lansdowne Ave. Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
Every year, Becht brings an outstanding lineup of NFL players to the camp to teach skills and coach the strategy of the game. This year should be no different.
Becht himself entered the NFL as a first-round pick of the New York Jets (27th overall) in the 2000 NFL Draft. After playing for the Jets from 2000-04 he spent three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before joining the St. Louis Rams in 2008.
Last season he started 11 of 16 games played to total 118 starts in 142 games played for his career.
The former West Virginia Mountaineer has contributed to seven 1,000-yard rushers in his nine years and registered 178 receptions for 1,450 yards and 20 touchdowns.
He earned Pro Football Weekly All-Rookie honors in 2000 and started 104 consecutive games from 2000-06.
“Anthony Becht Football Camp offers young players the chance to enhance their individual skills in a team atmosphere. At the camp, players will learn fundamentals that will make a championship player on a championship team. Plus, each competitor will learn the importance of leadership, sportsmanship, academics and having fun from Anthony Becht and all the other NFL players.”
