Eagles fans went through a roller coaster of emotions Sunday.

First they watched in agony as the Birds (8-6) dropped a 48-30 verdict to the struggling and undermanned Minnesota Vikings (4-9-1).

Then out of nowhere Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo again snatched defeat from victory, blowing a 23-point halftime lead to the Green Bay Packers losing 37-36 thus leaving the Eagles with the one-game lead they started the day with.

With two games remaining, the math is simple. If the Eagles defeat the Chicago Bears this Sunday night at the Linc and the Washington Redskins knock off the Cowboys, the Birds win the NFC East.

If the Eagles lose or the Cowboys defeat the Redskins they can still win the Division in Dallas on December 29.

Here are some notes provided by the Eagles Media relations staff after the loss.
