Lane Johnson became the tallest Eagles first round selection since the team chose the famously durable Tra Thomas with the 11th overall pick of the 1998 NFL Draft; both have been listed as 6-foot-7.
Free agent acquisition Patrick Chung enters the 2013 season having recorded all seven of his career interceptions in victories against AFC opponents.
Jason Avant scored the Eagles’ first touchdown of the last game of the 2006 regular season and the team’s first touchdown of the first game of the 2007 season.
LeSean McCoy averaged 104.7 rushing yards per game while playing in Eagles’ victories in 2012 and only 58.4 rushing yards per game while carrying the ball in Eagles’ losses. He also rushed for precisely 45 yards in each of his last three games in 2012.
Eagles newcomer Cary Williams recorded an interception in three consecutive games with the Ravens in 2012. Prior to this he had zero interceptions thru his first 42 career games.
This year’s preseason game against the Patriots witnessed 18 different Eagles record at least one reception.
Bryce Brown averaged an excellent 12.3 yards per carry against New Orleans in 2012, yet yielded an average of just 0.3 yards per carry the following week.
All ten of the passes that Michael Vick attempted in the Carolina preseason game were caught- the first nine by fellow Eagles and the tenth by the Panthers’ Josh Norman on a Hail Mary pass.
