The National Football League announced that three Philadelphia Eagles were selected to the 2016 Pro Bowl, which will be played on January 31, 2016 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

LT Jason Peters (8th Pro Bowl selection, 6th as an Eagle)
Return specialist Darren Sproles (2nd Pro Bowl selection, 2nd as an Eagle)
DE Fletcher Cox (1st Pro Bowl selection, 1st as an Eagle)

Peters, 33, is now an eight-time Pro Bowl selection and six-time All-Pro offensive tackle. This selection marks his third-consecutive Pro Bowl choice and eighth in the last nine seasons. Peters’ six selections as an Eagle are tied for fourth in team history with Donovan McNabb and Pete Pihos, and trails only Chuck Bednarik (eight), Reggie White (seven) and Brian Dawkins (seven).

Sproles, 32, earned Pro Bowl honors as a return specialist for the second-consecutive season and leads the NFL in punt return average (12.4), punt return yards (446) and punt return touchdowns (two). Sproles is the only player in Eagles history to have multiple seasons with at least two punt return touchdowns, and is one of only three players in team history to have notched multiple punt return touchdowns in the same season (DeSean Jackson and Brian Westbrook). Additionally, Sproles became the first player in the league to notch at least two punt returns for touchdowns in back-to-back seasons since Devin Hester did so for the Bears in 2010 and 2011.

Sproles joins Eagles LS Jon Dorenbos as the only two specialists to be selected to two Pro Bowls in franchise history.

Cox, 25, is selected to his first-career Pro Bowl after setting career highs with 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, 14.5 tackles for loss and 87 tackles through 14 games. Cox becomes the first Eagles defensive draft selection to garner Pro Bowl honors since Trent Cole in 2010. He also is the first Eagles defensive lineman to earn a Pro Bowl nod since Jason Babin in 2011.

The recipient of the Eagles 2015 Ed Block Courage Award, Cox dedicated his 2015 season to his late brother, Shaddrick, who passed away during the 2015 offseason.
