HIGH SCHOOL PLAYOFFS REACH HOME STRETCH – IMHOPTEP CHARTER REMAINS NO. 1, CHEROKEE NO. 2

FINAL SUPER 30 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAMS FOR 2013.

Imhotep Charter (10-1) remains at the top of the Footballstories Top 30 High School football teams in the Tri State area after crushing a very good West Catholic team 48-7 in the AA playoffs last week.

Earlier this season the Panthers knocked off AAAA Power LaSalle 40-28 in convincing fashion showing it was a force at any level. Coach Crosby’s takes on District 11 champ Catasauqua this Saturday in the state quarterfinals.

St. Joe’s Prep dropped to No. 6 after losing to 24-20 in a non-league rivalry game.

Yes the Hawks were missing their starting quarterback Chris Martin but many teams are mising key players at this time of year. St. Joe’s season continues against District 11 champion Parkland (12-1) outof Allentown.

Neshaminy reamins at No. 3 after reaching the fourth round of the AAAA playoffs defeating Abington in convincing fashion. The Redskins take on North Penn this weekend.

North Penn moved up to No. 5 after winning its 10th game in a row against Perkiomen Valley last week. North Penn takes on No. 3 Neshaminy this weekend.

In AAA PIAA playoff action No. 7. Academy Park (10-2) takes on Archbishop Wood (11-2) in the state quarterfinals in November 29.

In South Jersey, Cherokee has that championship look after demolishing Washington Township 51-0 in Group V playoff action and reached No. 2.

The Chiefs knocked off Jackson Memorial 35-14 last week to advance to the title game and take on Eastern, No. 4 in our poll. The Vikings defeated Atlantic City and Millville to advance to the Group V championship game December 6 at Rowan University.

Eastern is led by quarterback Tom Flacco and his corps of dependable recievers and the overall play of do-everything Mike Montemurro (No. 74 in your program).

In Group IV play No. 9 Timber Creek (9-1) takes on No. 21 Shawnee (7-3) for the state title on December 6.

In Delaware No. 14 Salesianum (10-1) takes on No. 16 Middletown (10-1) for the Delaware Division 1 State title November 30 at Delaware Stadium. No. 28 St.

George’s Tech (11-1) takes on No. 29 Hodgson Vo-Tech (10-3) also on November 30 for the Delaware Division II Championship also at Delaware Stadium.
