Darren Dungee, A Rowan University sophomore linebacker, was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Dungee, a Morristown, NJ native earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after helping the Profs move to within one victory of clinching the NJAC’s automatic NCAA Tournament bid with a 7-6 NJAC road win at Kean. He registered a game-high 18 tackles in Rowan’s league- best seventh win of the season, including 11 solo stops. He also garnered a tackle for a loss in a contest in which the Prof defense held the Cougar offense to just two fourth quarter field goals. Dungee currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in tackles (9.8 per game).
