EAGLES NOTEBOOK: ERTZ SETS EAGLES SINGLE-SEASON RECORD FOR RECEPTIONS
Staff report
* Zach Ertz established a new single-season franchise record for receptions (currently 93), surpassing the previous mark of 90 set by Brian Westbrook in 2007.
* Ertz’s 93 receptions are tied for the 13th-most by a TE in NFL history. He is only 7 receptions shy of becoming just the fourth TE in NFL history to reach 100 in a season, joining Jason Witten in 2012 (110), Tony Gonzalez in 2004 (102) and Dallas Clark in 2009 (100).
* Ertz now has 978 receiving yards, which are the 2nd-most by a TE in single-season team history, trailing only Pete Retzlaff in 1965 (1,190).
* Ertz surpassed Ozzie Newsome (4,569, 1978-83) for the 8th-most receiving yards by an NFL TE in their first six seasons (currently 4,642). He also moved past Fred Barnett (4,634, 1990-95) for the 11th-most receiving yards in Eagles history (5th-most by a TE).
TATE RECORDS FIRST TOUCHDOWN AS AN EAGLE
* Golden Tate caught his 1st TD as an Eagle on a 6-yard pass from Carson Wentz on the game’s opening possession that gave Philadelphia an early 7-0 advantage. Tate, who led the Eagles in receiving yards (85), also added receptions for 19 and 32 yards in the game.
* Tate helped the Eagles take a two-possession lead (22-13) in the fourth quarter when he caught a pass on a 2-point conversion attempt following a 4-yard receiving TD by Jordan Matthews. Philadelphia (5-of-5) is now tied with L.A. Chargers (5-of-7) and L.A. Rams (5-of-5) for the most successful 2-point conversions (5) in the NFL this season.
WENTZ THROWS FOR 300+ YARDS AND 2 TOUCHDOWNS

* Wentz surpassed Sonny Jurgensen (9,639, 1957-63) for the 7th-most passing yards in franchise history (currently 9,924). He is only 60 passing yards shy of tying Michael Vick (9,984, 2009-13) for 6th on the Eagles’ all-time list (76 passing yards shy of 10,000).
